Chasing Hope by Kathryn Cushman

I loved this story!  It is one that has stuck with me, and I continue to think about the characters, and ponder the story.  It resonates with me because I've had my own Olympic dream, and while it hasn't worked out like I thought for different reasons, it gave me fresh encouragement to see God bring life out of it all!    Chasing Hope is a great read!

Pilgrimage by Lynn Austin

I am fascinated with all things Israel right now.  I long to visit there someday, and walk where Jesus walked.  So I jumped at the chance to review a book where the author chronicles her own journey through the Promised Land.
I love how Austin ties in her own spiritual journey to the story, while taking us with her on the tour. I was able to see Israel through her eyes, and it only whet my appetite to someday go in person!
