A Beauty So Rare by Tamara Alexander

A Beauty So Rare is a "settle in with a cup of tea and enjoy" sort of read.  It's longer than most novels these days, which I found refreshing.  It actually took me more than a couple of hours to read it!  The author, Tamara Alexander, built enough suspense in this sweet story to get me to flip to the end to see how it finished up.  Character development is done well, and the insight into the historic time period is fascinating.
