I loved Andrea's honesty and transparency. For someone struggling with their faith, Faith And Other Flat Tires could be an encouraging read, if only in knowing that they are not alone in their struggle. I found my heart grieved through much of her story, as she searched for answers. I love how she carefully honors both her upbringing and the church, even while she wrestles with her own journey.
Andrea's experiences are mainly limited to understanding things with her mind. I wish that she had had more experiences with the person of Jesus and encounters with God Himself. My faith is based on combination of understanding things with my mind, but ultimately trusting who Jesus is and His love for us when I can't understand. I've experienced enough of His loving touch in and through my life, as well as dynamic power encounters, to know that His heart aches when we have trouble seeing Him for who He really is.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my review. My opinions are my own.
