Chasing Hope by Kathryn Cushman
I loved this story! It is one that has stuck with me, and I continue to think about the characters, and ponder the story. It resonates with me because I've had my own Olympic dream, and while it hasn't worked out like I thought for different reasons, it gave me fresh encouragement to see God bring life out of it all! Chasing Hope is a great read!
Pilgrimage by Lynn Austin
I am fascinated with all things Israel right now. I long to visit there someday, and walk where Jesus walked. So I jumped at the chance to review a book where the author chronicles her own journey through the Promised Land.
I love how Austin ties in her own spiritual journey to the story, while taking us with her on the tour. I was able to see Israel through her eyes, and it only whet my appetite to someday go in person!

Always The Baker, Finally The Bride by Sandra D. Bricker
While I have only read the first book in this four part series, I loved this last installment! Always the Baker, Finally the Bride resumed with characters that I had come to love in the first book. I didn't have any trouble catching up with the storyline, even though I missed reading the middle two books.
If you'd like a nice, enjoyable read to relax with and maybe enjoy a soak in the tub, I recommend Always the Baker, Finally the Bride!

The Dance by Dan Walsh & Gary Smalley
I love to read fiction, and in the process, I read a lot of mediocre books that I forget are on my Kindle and have to force myself to finish. This book was the opposite - it was fantastic and I couldn't hardly put it down.
I enjoyed the character development, and felt like I really got to know the characters in a short period of time. Their marriage relationship was interesting and reflective of many marriages today. I recommend this book as an enjoyable read, and also for couples that are struggling in their relationship. There are some fabulous practicals to help move the relationship to firmer ground.
5 stars!

Jennifer by Dee Henderson
Normally, I love Dee Henderson. I've been a longtime fan and was really excited to have the opportunity to read and review this book. The story was a nice read, but also a little challenging for me to wrap my head around. I didn't realize until the end of the story that Ms. Henderson was actually writing the first book in the series, last. I was flowing along with the story nicely until the "shocker" (no spoiler here!) and abrupt ending. I'm still trying to remember how things end up specifically with Jennifer in her other stories...guess I need to read them again!
This story also seemed a little too perfect from a relational standpoint. I'm glad things went so smoothly for Jennifer in her new relationship, but it didn't align well with the bumps that come in real life when two different people come together.
All that being said, it was still a nice read and a good fiction work.
Undeniably Yours by Becky Wade
I loved this story! I was drawn into it from the beginning, and repeatedly found myself coming back when I had a free moment. This was not a story I forgot I was reading on my Kindle. No out of sight, out of mind here! The characters have stuck with me, even several days later.
If you'd like a light read, with characters that engage your heart, and an intriguing storyline, pick up this new story from Becky Wade!

Unrivaled by Siri Mitchell
Candy and romance, what better combination? Siri Mitchell captured my attention with her newest release, Unrivaled. Bad guys turning good and good girls overstepping long-established boundaries make for interesting reading in this clean, enjoyable read. All is well that ends well, and I'm pleased with how this story turns out. It's a nice story to curl up with on a rainy day with a cup of tea.
Firefly Island by Lisa Wingate
I've enjoyed other books by Lisa Wingate and jumped at the opportunity to review this one. She did not disappoint in her newest release, Firefly Island. I read it in two days, amidst homeschooling and the general busyness of life, and didn't want to put it down!
Engaging from the beginning, Lisa draws you into the world of a DC staffer transformed into The Frontier Woman, and there's never a dull moment. For readers that enjoy Christian-based fiction with a hint of romance and suspense/intrigue, this is a book for you. Her writing is clean, and the story doesn't contain any violence. In my opinion, it's a great level of suspense!
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

To Honor and Trust by Tracie Peterson & Judith Miller Review
All is well that ends well. While the first third of this book was agonizingly slow (and I almost discontinued reading it several times), my efforts were rewarded in the end.
Callie, the main character, is a darling girl and I really enjoyed how the authors portrayed her. After a rather slow beginning that stretched into the middle, the book gathered speed and all the events seemed to happen at once.
My recommendation: read quickly through the first section, and then enjoy the story as it gains momentum towards a happy ending.
I was provided with a free copy of this book in exchange for my opinion. All opinions are my own and are no reflection on the author or publishers.
